These two teachers from the nearby community school are most definitely CFFs – crafting friends forever! These two are a pair of croppers who come quite often, at least when school or vacation gives them time off to craft. Here is what this pair has been doing lately.
Fiona (above right) and Louise (left) created collages on canvas when they were with us last. With a little assistance from us, they turned out quite well, we think. Each lady left with exactly what she wanted to create.
Fiona’s canvas (above) is a memory piece for her family’s trip to Paris. She used photos and photocopies of ephemera from their trip. She did a superb job!
Louise’s piece (above) is a gift for her mother who loved her weeklong stay with her in Dubai over the Eid holiday. As a memory of Dubai, she used postcards and Dubai themed embellishments. Gold-glazed pearlized paint and a 12x12in Arabesque stencil from our exclusive stencil collection were used to create a distressed mashrabiya background to give it the right Middle Eastern touch.
We absolutely love what Fiona and Louise did and we look forward to seeing what more these two teachers will come up with in the future!
